Zinc cames can be used with or in place of lead where structurally advantageous. Zinc cannot be formed or cut as easily as lead, making it more limiting in building. But as a structural member, it is useful for borders, internal bracing at a strategic position in a panel, and for sectioning multiple panel windows.
